The African Safari Trails is locally owned and managed by people with a love for their native Tanzania and Kilimanjaro, who collectively have many years of experience in the region.
Paulo Sanare Laizer has a passion for wild places. He has trekked, guided and climbed different Mountains in Africa including Kilimanjaro for many years. He first climbed Kilimanjaro in 1999, and after a number of subsequent climbs he became very much experienced and employed by The African Walking Co in 2008, from his hardworking in 2013 he started to manage The African Walking Company until August 2021 whereby he started managing The African Safari Trails (TAST). He is leading it forward and constantly developing its already excellent reputation.
Flora Moshi has worked for the Company since its inception, Flora has taken on greater responsibility, she is known as ‘Mama Porter’ because she was instrumental in setting up our ‘porter pool’, which brings fairness and regular work to over 500 porters.
Anneth Makunga is our Reservation and Administration Manager, and demonstrates that The African Safari Trails is full of people who love Kilimanjaro, because whilst she is a qualified on her job, she climbed Kilimanjaro many times with Charity groups for assistance. She has been with the company over 10 years.
Godwin Mollel is the Operations Manager and looks after everything to do with the actual running of the trips; transport, guides, packing of equipment, trip co-ordinators etc. He is in regular communication with the co-ordinators so that we are sure that everything is in place for a perfect and enjoyable trip.
